Meet the Pastor *

Pastor Kevin Whitmire was saved at a young age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, Texas. He and his wife, Christi, have been married for 22 years and are blessed with four children—Kevin B. (deceased), Mackenzie, JJ, and Nathaniel—and one grandson, Bennie. Kevin is also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
The Lord first began stirring Kevin’s heart toward ministry while he was attending a youth camp. In 2017, he stepped into that calling by serving in student ministry as a volunteer at First Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee. During that time, he also served as a campus coach with First Priority of Greater Nashville at Whitthorne Middle School and later as an area director, helping grow the ministry from one school to three in the Columbia area.
In 2024, Kevin was called to pastor a new church just outside of Columbia, serving faithfully while also working as a manager at the local Chick-fil-A. In July of 2025, the Lord began guiding Kevin and Christi into a new chapter of ministry, leading them away from the home they had built in Columbia and calling them to serve here at Trinity Baptist Church, where they began in November of 2025.
Pastor Kevin has a strong passion for discipleship and for helping the church live out and fulfill the Great Commission. He is currently pursuing a degree in Christian Ministries at Dallas Baptist University. When he’s not studying or serving, Kevin enjoys the outdoors and can often be found fishing or hunting. His desire is to lead Trinity Baptist Church to be a light and a beacon of the love of Jesus in Orange, Texas.
